I’m currently working with a design led property group, that places design at the heart of the companies working process. They take a creative approach that enables them to see opportunities in the most unlikely of places whilst optimising value. The company takes a hands on approach to property development, performing all core developments directly, in house.

My client is looking to bring in a fresh new Commercial Lead, someone that has the motivation and ambition to help the company maintain its visionary focus whilst still operating at a remarkably high standard. The ideal candidate will have some commercial management experience or be able to demonstrate an unquestionable desire to lead even in a Senior Quantity Surveying capacity. Candidates from either a trade background or consultancy with a proven record of dealing with subcontractors and ground workers at ground level are favorable.

Moreover, the company are willing to pay up to £100,000 basic alongside a very attractive package and bonus scheme make this an excellent opportunity.

Essential Criteria

• Extensive knowledge of relevant computer software including MS Word, Excel & Project

• A detailed knowledge of relevant contract conditions.

• A successful track record in leading financial management and cost control on projects.

• Delivering major projects in excess of £10 million including evidence of such projects.

• A track record of managing staff on large or multiple projects.

• Appropriate CSCS card.

Desirable Criteria

• A good level of experience in dispute resolution and contract administration.

• Construction related degree

• Membership or working toward MCIOB or RICS
