Estimator Opportunity

 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at a rapidly growing London based residential developer. They are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Estimator. They specialise in producing low volume, high quality living spaces in prestigious, sought after areas of London such as Kensington, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Notting Hill etc.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record for either a well-known main contractor or developer, with a base knowledge of working on residential projects and a firm understanding of procurement.

In return for this, you will receive a base salary of £65,000 - £85,000 (doe) plus package and a first-rate bonus scheme. There is also the potential the potential to have this remuneration package bolstered via profit shares/equity further down the line.

 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for compiling detailed project estimates to provide to our potential clients.
  • Assessing material, labour and equipment required and analysing different quotes from sub-contractors.
  • Working closely with the construction team to ensure optimum delivery of projects, to the right quality, on time and to cost.
  • Occasional site visits to collate project information for use back in the office.
  • Maintaining and adding to the approved supply chain.
  • Delivering high standard of workmanship.
  • Ensuring good time management to meet deadlines.
  • Maintaining professional working relationships internally and externally

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a good knowledge and understanding of construction methods.
  • Must be a proficient I.T. user to include MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have Full UK Driving Licence due to site travel.
  • Must have 3 years previous estimating experience or equivalent recognised qualification in Estimating and/or Quantity Surveying.
