Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Kent / £45,000 - £50,000


We are working with an outstanding housebuilder, who are looking to recruit an intermediate quantity surveyor to help deliver their projects all across Kent. Based in North Kent, with projects all across Kent they have a strong pipeline of work to deliver without the hassle of travelling around London to go to site.


This opportunity will allow you to manage a range of fantastic projects whilst leading and undertaking a substantial wealth of responsibilities. You will be responsible for site development and all commercial cost appraisals for your projects and viability/feasibility analysis, managing sub-contractors, materials and goods, preparing and monitoring site costs and budgets and ensuring site set-up health and safety.


With a more than competitive basic salary on offer of up to £50,000, alongside a fantastic bonus scheme and package, this is a great opportunity to better yourself whilst having the clear progression from the outset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • The negotiation & letting of subcontracts within required timescales.
  • Providing the cost-data feedback to Divisional Estimating Department.
  • Administration & management of the financial aspects of the development.
  • Reviewing and forecasting the latest cost estimates and reporting.
  • The relationships with external employers such as Housing Associations undertaking valuations, cash flow forecasts, obtaining warranties, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment within Company workplaces and applying the Company’s Health & Safety Policy for their own, their colleagues, third parties and the public’s benefit.



Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in leading and helping others achieve is vital.
  • Able to demonstrate, previous experience of working for a housebuilder previously.
  • Unprecedented time management and communication skills with a desire for project progression.
  • Experience of managing/working on multiple projects at any given time with large teams around you.
  • Must be ambitious and show willing determination to succeed not only in projects but also with their career.
  • Excellent prioritisation and self-management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment for continued periods.
  • Willingness to guide others and show them exemplary working standards.
