Job description

Land Manager - Surrey - £50,000 - £65,000 plus package , car and bonus. 

I am working with one of the leading volume house builders in the residential development market who are looking to recruit a land manager to join their small team.

the role would focus on identifying, negotiating and acquiring new sites in Surrey, Kent, Sussex and shout London Boroughs. You would report into the Land Director and have the freedom to work to your own timelines and will not be micromanaged but will receive the support that you require with a good resource to secure 3 - 4 sites in the first  12 - 18 months. 

You will have a portable book of contacts and a history of purchasing large (100 unit plus) sites. You will have an intimate knowledge of the planning process and development cycle.

ideally you will currently be working for one of the leading house builders or residential property developers but I am also keen to hear  candidates working in development consultancy.

It is essential that you have experience of land buying for large Plc house builders or residential developers.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified (ideally property or construction related)
  • You are or have worked for large Plc house builders or residential property developers.
  • A proven track record of acquiring land in the home counties
  • Demonstrably history of buying sites 100 units plus
  • Detailed understanding of managing developments through the planning application and appeal process.
  • Determined and driven individual who has the ability to make the step up to director level in short to medium term.
