Quantity Surveyor - Renowned Homebuilder

 

 Currently working with a renowned homebuilder who is seeking a quality quantity surveyor. My client has been building new homes for over 50 years and is firmly established as a leading developer with a passion for not just building homes, but creating vibrant sustainable communities. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely & accurate cost management, dealing with contractual issues & procurement & payment of sub-contractors for complex large volume development projects from pre-operational stage through to final account settlement.

Duties will include:

  • The cost management, cost reporting and subcontract management.
  • Managing subcontract accounts – measured works and variations.
  • Checking orders are raised accurately and in timely fashion.
  • Payments to subcontractors.
  • Ensuring cost reviews are managed responsibly, all savings. Risks are to be raised in a timely fashion.
  • HA contract Management
  • Value engineering
  • Final Accounts
  • Tenders
  • Adhering to GTA’s.
  • Managing the Assistant Surveyors/ Surveyors within team


Applicants will have:

  • Extensive experience as a Surveyor in a main contractor or housebuilder.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work.
  • Knowledge of the Residential Development market
  • Commercially aware with analytical & proactive approach towards problem solving.
  • Team management skills
  • Excel,Word, measuring CAD
  • CSCS

Desirable

  • Degree or other technical qualification.
  • RICS / CIOB qualification.
