Job description

We are working with a leading international property developer who are looking to strengthen the successful UK arm of their business with a Senior Project Manager - Structural. On offer is a fantastic salary of £80,000 - £100,000 plus package.

Our client is developing and delivering major, prestigious mixed-use schemes in London which will be well known throughout the industry. Therefore they offer the opportunity to work on landmark schemes that will provide an exciting and fulfilling work life. These schemes contain vast residential areas, including luxury elements as well as retail and commercial elements. 

You will be part of the senior management team, reporting into the UK Director and will work with & monitor internal and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, subcontractors, local authorities and various statutory consultees).

 

Main Duties / Experience:

- Project manage the structural and civil engineering from concept to completion, including the consultants scope and appointments, input to the development programme, construction logistics and preparation of reports and recommendations.

- Liaise and build key relationships with key stakeholders, all functional internal departments, external suppliers, consultants, contractors, building control and local authorities.

- Proven technical ability to meet both internal and external business needs and proven knowledge of UK building regulations.

- Working in a multi-disciplinary environment and understands the interfaces between different disciplines and how this can be implemented for construction.

- Exercise professional judgement to resolve development problems during planning, design, construction and after sale stage.

 

Requirements:

- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

- Member of MICE, MIStructE, and CEng.

- Previous experience of working for a property developer would be advantageous, with the appreciation of key commercial drivers and experience of efficient and practical designs.

- Experience of residential project management, with relevant site experience.

- Team player.

- Analytical / logical thinker.

- Strong leadership and management skills.

- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff and pass on knowledge.
