Senior Quantity Surveyor - Industry Leading Housebuilder


I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an industry leading housebuilder and their team in Orpington, Kent. They construct quality homes ranging from one bedroom apartments to luxury penthouses and prestigious executive houses. They pride themselves on understanding the aspirations of all their buyers, not just in the type of home that suits the majority of the masses, but in terms that satisfies individuals in where they want to live. 


This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Britain's leading housebuilders. The South East Division is looking for a proficient Senior Quantity Surveyor who has experience of working within the housebuilding industry and is able to demonstrate their ability to work within a commercial environment, bolstered by a proven track record of successful high end and volume projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial & Contractual 
  • Analysis of tender allowances
  • The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
  • Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions  
  • Preparation of cost to complete
  • Financial Reporting
  • Cash management and maximisation
  • Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
  • Provision of standard reports
  • nternal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines


Experience and Qualifications:

  • You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build, new build and refurbishment projects, as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract. 
  • You will have sound experience of working within the same, or similiar role previous. 
  • You will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).
