Job description

The role of a Senior Recruitment Consultant at TDM is to manage the complete recruitment cycle, both candidate and client side, of an assignment. This includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Candidate identification (database or research)
  • Directly approaching/ head hunting candidates
  • CV gathering and management
  • CV presentation
  • Interview arranging (client and candidate)
  • Offer/ contract negotiation (client and candidate)
  • On-boarding/candidate management through the notice period (client and candidate)

Critically, you will also be given responsibility for negotiating fees with new and existing clients. You will be given a degree of flexibility and discretion. It is expected that you will have your own pool of clients for whom you work. The majority of your assignments will be self-sourced through your business development activities. It is expected that you will undertake marketing exercises for outstanding candidates who are actively looking to move jobs. This will involve phoning and emailing existing and prospective hiring managers to market these candidates. 

You may from time to time be asked to manage and mentor junior consultants and trainees on assignments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the complete recruitment cycle on both the candidate and client side.
  • You will be expected to undertake business development and work winning exercises and to be almost self-sufficient in terms of job assignments
  • The management care of current clients.
  • Negotiation of fees and terms with new clients (within pre-agreed parameters)
  • The selling and marketing of active candidates who are looking to make career moves. This can be through email or phone contact with existing or prospective clients.
  • From time to time you will manage and oversee junior recruitment consultants and trainees.
  • Management and updating of company database in timely and effective fashion.
  • You will be expected to manage you own KPI’s and weekly/ monthly figures as instructed by your Managing Consultant.
  • Assisting the Managing Consultant where needed on any appropriate duties relating to assignments or client jobs.
  • Undertake company or individual training when requested.
