Job description

I’m working with a market leading nationwide PLC house builder who are looking to strengthen their team with an ambitious and career driven Technical Coordinator in the Buckinghamshire area.


As Technical Coordinator you will be working on a variety of medium to large size residential and mixed use projects across the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey counties. The role will be office based from their head office however you will be required to visit sites as and when required and regular travel will be required so a valid driving license is important.


Reporting in to the Senior Technical Manager, you will predominantly be involved in overseeing smaller sites however you will also be assisting on larger projects. You will be degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering or a similar discipline and will have at least 2 years post qualification experience in an Assistant or Technical Coordinator position working on residential based projects. The project sizes will vary from 50 units up to 250 units in size and as the company expands there will be room for career progression should you wish to take it.


You will be paid a competitive basic salary along with a benefits package and ongoing support and training will also be offered. The company is a good place to work and there are usually regular social events and charity events held. They have a relatively low staff turnover and like individuals who are looking for longevity in the role.


Key Requirements:


  • At least 2 years’ post experience working for a house builder, developer or contractor on residential backed projects.
  • Experienced in low rise traditional housing (RC Frame knowledge is a bonus but NOT essential).
  • Confident in overseeing your own residential based projects with a strong track record of doing so.
  • Calm under pressure, able to make decisions quickly and effectively and a future leader.
  • Degree qualified in architecture, engineering or other relevant qualification.
