Award winning privately owned house builder is looking to further strengthen its team with a Technical Manager.

 

Due to continued success and growth within the business, this entrepreneurial house builder are looking to strengthen its team with a knowledgeable Technical Manager. There is a strong land bank and each development is different from the last in terms of style of build and size of development. There is a strong passion in the individuals who already work there and they want someone to be part of this family feel team.

 

As Technical Manager you will be checking working drawings and liaising with external consultants including Structural and Civil Engineers, M&E Engineers and Architects to ensure all the relevant information is provided at various stages in the development. You will also be involved in other stages of the project throughout the development cycle from cradle to grave so this will be a great opportunity to have more input unlike some other large organisations who can’t offer this autonomy.

 

Reporting in to the Technical Director you will need to be an individual who is calm under pressure and a good problem solver who can juggle numerous tasks at any one time. You will have a strong residential background having worked on residential based projects with a house builder, contractor or developer and will also be a leader and mentor for younger members of staff.

 

You will be degree qualified and come from an architectural, engineering or other relevant background and ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in a Technical or Design Manager role and have managed your own projects.

Key Requirements:

 

  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering or other relevant qualification.
  • Have worked on residential based projects for a house builder, developer or contractor.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Technical or Design Manager position, running your own projects.
  • Calm under pressure and able to juggle numerous tasks at any one time.
  • Able to be a leader and mentor to more junior members of the team.
  • Looking for career progression and longevity.
