Job description Operating for over 40 years this housing developer has unrivaled record of growth. For over 10 years this client has been the highest quality major national housebuilder. Their success stems from their superior build quality, site safety and customer service, all of which is credited by the multiple awards won year upon year. The client is keen to speak with established Assistant Quantity Surveyors to continue their rapid growth. 

The client is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor from a house building background to start on the forthcoming site from inception to delivery. This site offers longevity with 120 units planned, a mixture of traditional and timber 2-4 bed houses with 1-2 bed apartments. The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have experience on sites similar in size to this however not essential, all experience will be considered. 

In return the client is offering a generous package of up to £45,000 + Package depending on experience. 

Key Responsibilities:
Measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings) for Valuations, Variations & Final Accounts as directed by line manager.
Monthly stock taking for external valuations.
Prepare and agree daywork sheets.
Measurement and valuation of subcontractor’s work for payment and Final Account purposes.
Assisting QS to ensure that payments to sub-contractors are made on time and in accordance with the subcontract agreement
Assisting with preparation of external valuations
Assisting in preparation of financial reports by taking relevant site measurements and/or measuring from drawings as directed by line manager.
Monthly stock taking for internal valuations
Assisting in preparation of pre-cost estimates, analysis of Head Office cost prints and divergences between pre-cost estimates and Head Office cost prints.
Preparing material reconciliations.
Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
Education & Qualifications:
HND or Quantity Surveying degree
Experience working for a contractor or consultancy
Driving License
