Buyer - Renowned Homebuilder


Currently seeking a proven buyer that has previous experience in the housebuilding industry. My client has been building new homes for over 50 years and is firmly established as a leading developer with a passion for not just building homes, but creating vibrant sustainable communities. Most importantly, they place their customers at the heart of everything they do.


The successful candidate must have a firm knowledge of procurement in our industry such as principles, techniques and procedures, be able to demonstrate skills in organizing and evaluating information and be proactive in finding solutions for construction projects. you must be IT literate e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook, etc, Understands estimating and budget control whilst being able to negotiate successfully against budget constraints.


Role Duties

  • Responsible for all procurement methods and procedures for interior fit out products on large and small scale construction projects including, enquiring, buying, quality assurance, delivery, etc.
  • Plan, direct and manage the central procurement activities between our site offices, suppliers and in-house manufacture facilities.
  • Develop, review, and approve, new or improved administrative, purchasing and clerical procedures.
  • Meeting suppliers and negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate, overall revisions, price and past performance of each supplier and approve price increases and managing supplier databases.
  • Assisting project, site manager and commercial department with material enquiries, updating site team on all details and arranging material deliveries accordingly.
  • Is responsible for producing a procurement plan for each project in accordance with project program and time tables.
