Job description.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading, award winning housebuilder as a Design Coordinator, working on the front end development cycle (design and planning) of bespoke, high end residential homes across Kent and Sussex. If you’re looking for a role where you’re looking to make the transition from architectural practice to a personable, friendly housebuilder who will offer ongoing training and progression, then this is a role to consider.

 

Reporting in to the Design Director, you will be part of the in house design team where you will be assisting the land team in the preparation of sketch layouts for potential land purchases as well as the design team in the preparation and submussion of planning applications.

 

The salary on offer is £35,000 – £45,000 plus company benefits which include bonus, pension and private healthcare.

 

To be suitable for this role, you must have experience either with a housebuilder, developer or architectural practice with strong experience at the front end development cycle (design and planning) on residential developments. If you’re keen to work for a market leading business who promote staff internally and have an incredibly low staff turnover then this is the role for you.

 

responsibilities include: 

  • Working with the internal design team on the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Assisting the land team with the preparation of sketch layouts for potential land purchases.
  • Monitoring the planning applications.
  • To manage and update house type portfolios.
  • The preparation of conveyancing, contract plans and legal plans.
  • The distribution of internal information to relevant in house departments.
  • The preparation of schedules for planning conditions, materials etc.

key requirements:

  • Ideally degree qualified in architecture or a property related field.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills.
  • Have a proficient understanding of the planning and development industry.
  • Can produce accurate proving layouts.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD and Photoshop.
  • A full driving license.
