Design Engineer, Warrington
£40,000 – £45,000 + Package
 
Are you passionate about shaping the future of residential communities? Do you possess a keen eye for innovative design solutions and a knack for turning ideas into reality? This forward-thinking privately owned developer company are looking to add to its established Technical department with the addition of a design engineer located in it’s office in Warrington.
 
As a design engineer within our team, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and realization of our residential projects. Collaborating closely with architects, planners, and construction professionals, you will be responsible for designing practical, cost-effective solutions that meet regulatory requirements while exceeding client expectations. From concept development to detailed design, your expertise will shape the future of our developments, ensuring they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and sustainable.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop innovative design concepts for residential developments, considering factors such as site constraints, building regulations, and client preferences.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform design decisions and mitigate potential challenges.
  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases, resolving issues and optimizing design solutions as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, incorporating them into our design processes to drive continuous improvement.

 
Qualifications and Experience:
 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in residential design and engineering, preferably within the housebuilding or construction sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, planning guidelines, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions on time and within budget.
