Job description.
An opportunity to be an early member of the new UK team based in London and help grow a substantial new development business backed by one of Europe’s leading design-led, sustainability-led developers.
This opening offers an ambitious and talented professional with experience in: financial modelling/reporting, project analysis and acquisition – the chance to help grow an exciting new real estate development platform backed by the firepower of a major group. It is an ambition to see this new business firmly establish itself as one of London’s leading multi-sector developers within the next 5 years.
The company has already acquired its first major asset in Central London – a prestigiously located office development which will set a new benchmark for design and sustainability in the City of London.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Working closely with the Managing Director to source, identify, appraise and acquire new development opportunities across Greater London (initially) and select other locations across UK & Ireland. This includes working on existing secured projects as well as sourcing new prospects.
- Initial focus on office, mixed-use, residential (BTR, shared living and open market sales) and such other use classes which prove opportune/attractive – both single and multi-phase projects which will require to modelled accordingly.
- Working with acquisition and leasing agents, investors, debt providers and such other consultants as necessary from time to time to assess and secure successful trading opportunities.
- Ability to prepare detailed cashflow, viability, waterfall and promote calculations.
- Sourcing and commissioning consultant reports necessary to appraise new opportunities.
- To work closely with the central Financial Modelling team to prepare suitable financial appraisal templates appropriate to the UK market.
- Active role in helping grow and expand an exciting new business in London backed by the firepower and support of a major pan-European real estate player.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in development, investment or asset management or real estate finance.
- Excellent financial modelling (MS Excel) and presentation skills.
- Outside the box thinking, entrepreneurial and self – motivated
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, open minded and friendly.
- Ability to act without direct and permanent supervision, independency.
- Collaborative and pro-active.
- Open for versatile and flexible scope of responsibility related to the early stage of company’s development in UK.
- Willingness to join newly created organisational structure of the company that enters the London market.
- English, French and other European languages will be considered as strong asset.
- Experience gained in real estate will be seen a serious asset.
