Job description.

I am working with one of the leading midlands house builders who is looking to strengthen the team with a development manager to work with the land and planning team.

You will be an experienced town planner who has experience in managing and running planning applications for house builders and strategic land. You will ideally be 4-5 years post-graduation and be looking for the next step in your career or you will be working in planning consultancy and looking to make the move to client side.

Ideally, you will have worked for either a house builder/ residential developer, town planning consultancy or a strategic land promotion company where you would have played a key and important role in managing complex town planning applications.

The client is in a mature and grown-up environment with a low head count where everyone just gets on with their job. They offer flexibility in working arrangements but its expected you would be in the office for meetings 2-3 days a week.

If you are looking for role with a progressive and flexible business with a passionate and success-focused team then this is the dream job for you.

Responsibilities

  • Managing current and future planning applications

  • Operated and worked in Birmingham and the wider west midlands area
  • Good understanding of planning and project managing large strategic sites.
  • Able to work autonomously and comfortable taking the lead on projects rather than being in the background.
  • Dynamic and ambitious
