Development Manager

  • Sector: Land & Planning
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 plus package
Job description

Are you a land buyer or town planner looking to move in wider development manager position?

My client is a leading privately owned developer in the Cardiff region who is looking to strengthen and expand their team with a development manager.

You will pick up projects from early identification/ tender and project manage them through viability and feasibility and into planning. Ultimately you will package the schemes up and hand them over to the construction delivery teams.

You can be either a town planner, development surveyor from practice or land buyer looking to move into a development role.

You would report into the development director but because of the way the company is structured you will be given full autonomy over projects and be expected to operate independently. You will work closely with the land buyers and planning team to bring through projects.

The role would focus on sourcing, buying and then project managing land along the M4 corridor with a particular focus around Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

 Key requirements

  • Degree qualified (ideally property related)
  • Extensive experience working for a leading residential developer or house builder or town planning consultancy.
  • You will be either a land manager, town planner or development manager used to project managing complex project through from early stage identification through to delivery.
  • Ambitious, driven and of director calibre.
