Job description
Development Manager / Senior Development Manager - based in East London and woring in their counties division so flexibility offered  - salary from £50,000 - £75,000 basic salary plus package.

The role will have an initial key focus to support / oversee developments and projects in the home counties.

Day to day you’ll work closely with teams that interface with the development process such as investments, operations, construction, finance, legal, tax, compliance, design, marketing, communications, portfolio management and accounting and our senior leaders. In addition, you’ll liaise with external stakeholders, consultants, funders, partners, agents, contractors.


To be successful, you’ll need to demonstrate strong residential development and project management experience; including demonstrated ability to oversee the entire life cycle of the development process and to complete development projects. This role would be ideal for someone with client side/developer experience who has managed individual projects and worked with partners and outside parties. 

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in coordinating the delivery of a mixed-use scheme, multiple phased projects and infrastructure works
  • Experience or exposure to large scale phased development projects (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of building regulations, technical building specifications, planning application processes and construction processes for London.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (particularly JCT) and experience of managing client actions.
  • Resourcefulness to manage vendor and local developer / general contractor and internal counterpart relationships
  • Expert level proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Project; necessary to support budgeting and overall project management.
  • MRICS or Master of Real Estate (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships, communicate with tact and diplomacy, and influence with impact at all levels.
  • A collaborative, adaptable and flexible working style with the ability to thrive in a change environment.
