Development Surveyor / Manager

Job description

An exciting opportunity to join a leading mixed-use property developer based in Leeds, Yorkshire. 
You will work alongside Senior Managers and will be expected to undertake the responsibilities listed below:

Wide range of financial analysis, understanding of development costs and formulating development appraisals
Work with the Development team to identify and source new opportunities
Support with due diligence for acquisitions and sales
Develop and maintain relationships with agents in order to source opportunities
Proactively manage and investigate general enquires from landowners/ agents
Negotiate and secure new land deals, seek legal advice and oversee the process to completion
Appointing and briefing consultants
Assisting with the production of investor reports
Enhance and build on the companies relationships with landowners and local authorities
Represent the company as a strong presence in the property market, promoting us an active and professional developer with a long-term           commitment
Working closely with the Senior Managers Directors, internal teams and other third-party stakeholders

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Keen interest/knowledge of the UK development system
Ability to work on your own initiative
Enthusiasm, hungry for success and passionate about the sector
Driven and motivated to achieve results
Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team
Must be willing to / able to travel

You will ideally have the following: 

Property/planning related degree or master’s degree and or a geography degree having attained or working towards professional qualification (MRICS or MRTPI)
A minimum of 2 years’ post qualifying / relevant work experience in land acquisition and sales and/or managing large and complex planning applications either in a planning 
        agency, consultancy or developer role
