Engineering Manager – Mansfield – £70,000 to £80,000 + Package

Here at tdm recruitment we are working with a highly reputable privately owned developer based in Leeds. Our client is seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join their Technical team and manage their own projects whilst managing an developing the engineering team

The business build high-end, luxury houses across Yorkshire ranging from 3 to 5 bed properties and are renowned for their unique developments whilst ensuring the aesthetic matches the local areas.

On offer is a market leading salary up to £80,000 with the addition of a company car/car allowance and bonus.

Our client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and driven, wanting to help the company complete exciting new developments, in what renowned business. Ideally, our client is looking for someone from a competing privately owned housebuilder or national PLC with experience of managing an in-house team of engineers.

Some responsibilities include:

• Review technical information and reports on new land opportunities and prepare feasibility engineering designs.
• Manage a team of in-house Engineers to ensure divisional targets are met.
• Review external consultants engineering designs with a view to value engineer where possible to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
• Attend design meetings with highways/water authorities to determine local authorities requirements.
• Ensure the timely distribution of all relevant drawings and technical information to the relevant departments to ensure production targets and budgets are achieved in line with the build programme.
• Coordinate consultants to produce engineering drawings to achieve technical approvals from the local authorities.
• Attend/Lead all pre-start meetings, progress meetings and other meetings as required to review and assess progress and provide frequent feedback on project performance.
• Liaise between the technical and construction department on engineering matters.
