This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Housebuilder as a Commercial Manager in the Chelmsford area. As a Commercial Manager, you will report directly to the Commercial Director or Managing Director and hold responsibility for overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors and Materials Buyers ensuring delivery of efficient and effective commercial management for new building housing projects across Essex.

The job is well suited for both established Commercial Managers and experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors who are ready to make that next step into management.

A successful candidate would have a proven track record of efficient management of Quantity Surveyors and Buyers working with Housebuilder or Similar.

• Accurate Valuations
• Subcontract Management & Orders
• Cost Value Reconciliation
• Responsibility for project from contract awarding to Final Account
• Supply Chain Procurement

• Cost Control & Budgeting
• Successful Negotiator
• Variation
• Benchmarking and analysis of build costs
• Final Accounts
• Monthly board reporting.
• Liaise with other senior department heads.
• Lead, Manage and motivate team members.
