We are working with a well established privately owned house builder and property developer that is looking to appoint a land director to set up a new region in essex. You will be tasked with sourcing and buying sites in essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk and then will take the step up to managing director once enough sites have been secured.
You will be an established land director who has a demonstrable track record of sourcing and securing sites in essex and Hertfordshire. You will be an natural deal maker that can do off market deals to gain the highest level of profit.
The client is very well funded having just raised capital with 2 private funds and also has a very well established business in surrey doing 150 units per annum. The next stage of their growth is to set up the essex region and replicate the success they have had in the other business unit.
You will report into the chief executive, who is a serial property entrepreneur, and be tasked with starting the region from scratch. You might be currently working for a plc house builder and yearn for a more dynamic environment or you could be work at another sme developer but lack the funds to buy land.
There will be a bonus and profit share on offer and for the right individual you could earn a life changing bonuses over next 3 years. Also, the opportunity to step up to managing director.
Key requirements• Established land director with 10 years + industry experience• Demonstrable track record of sourcing and buying sites in essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridge• Currently working for either a national residential developer or high profile investor or agency.• Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process.• A strong network of contacts in the land agency world.• Determined, hungry and ambitious.• Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team.
