About the role
We are recruiting for a commercially astute Land Manager to support our business growth in the Midlands region.
You will investigate and appraise all possible sites for development, focusing in the Midlands region.
As a Land Manager, you will work closely with the Land team and the Regional Managing Director as well as our planning, construction and design teams on a day to day basis. The role is fast moving and sociable; you’ll liaise with Local Authorities, Estate Agents and Land Owners on a day to day basis. You’ll be required to make a minimum number of recommendations to purchase land in line with the Regional Land objectives.
Excitingly, you’ll have the opportunity to help the company grow through the acquisition of new sites. You’ll see your efforts rewarded with successful planning applications and customers who love their independent, safe and secure home – knowing you’ve had a part to play in this.
Your duties will include finding new sites for the company to purchase, negotiating the purchase of them and responsibility for all transactions and information being accurate and timely.
About you
You’ll have previous land buying experience within the property sector, buying brownfield sites either for a developer for residential use or for other sectors for commercial use e.g. retail.
You will have the ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts and proven negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
You will be analytical, a driven individual with a hunger for success, will enjoy meeting targets and overcoming challenges.
It’s essential that you’re a competent driver with a valid UK Driving Licence as you’ll be spending a large proportion of your time out of the office.
