Job description

I am working with a leading FTSE 250 house builder who has revenues over 2.7 billion and are going from strength to strength.

They are looking to add a Managing Quantity Surveyor to their London team. You will either already be in a similar post or a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is capable and ready to make the next step up.

You will be responsible for all commercial activities onsite, working closely with the design and construction team to monitor build costs against the programme. This will includes reporting any budget variances, prelim strategies and risks to the Chief Surveyor to monitor against the programme completion dates and overall construction budget.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial leadership
  • Ownership of project budgets and costs
  • Delivery of budgeted profit margins
  • Effective main / trade contractor procurement and management
  • Leading a team

     

    Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the residential sector with a main contractor or developer
  • Proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Experience of leading and implementing a broad range of projects, managing sub contracts and ensuring service performance.
  • Solid commercial acumen
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent (BSc Quantity Surveying preferred)
