Job Description
What you’ll do:
• Enjoy your job!
• More formally though – undertake tasks necessary to support and assist the team in delivering
client instructions and business development.
• Be responsible for running your own projects, with support.
• Tasks are varied but may include:
o Undertaking planning history searches
o Attending site visits
o Desk or field research as necessary
o Report writing for Planning Statements etc – writing persuasively
o Preparing and project managing Environmental Statements – writing factually
o Analysis and undertaking Planning Appraisals – using your judgement
o Development Plan Monitoring and writing representations to policy
o Arrange and attend public consultation events
o Attend range of meeting types, alone and in supporting role
o Seek to complete the full list of ‘experiences’
o Assisting with office admin as necessary
• Have direct client contact (with support) and liaise with the professional teams
• Set budgets/fee proposals and prepare invoices
• Have increasing responsibility and client contact

• Listen, read and receive briefings and question the team until you understand
• Work to a deadline and uphold our quality standard
• Manage your own workload, with help on prioritisation as needed and proactively seek work from
the client and clients
• Seek and accept feedback, and adapt as needed

• Be willing to travel and attend evening meetings
• Be proficient at writing professionally and using IT to a high standard.
• Be responsible for budgets and develop a commercial understanding
• Care about, and be committed to, the success of the business
• Be flexible to the role and job description evolving

The package:
• Full time role, but with flexible working
• Circa £35k depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus
• 24 days holiday (excluding public holidays)
• Birthday holiday and 2 volunteering days
• Pension contribution of 5% (3% employee)
• Shared parking and Cycle to Work Scheme
