Job description.

I am working with one of the UK’s leading privately owned master developers who is expanding their team with an engineering manager.

They have a number of large and complex to be the lead on a 2,000 unit + scheme in Cambridgeshire.

You will currently be working at one of the leading national plc house builders as a technical director or head of engineering or you could be a director at a large engineering consultancy. What is critical is that you have experience of overseeing and delivering complex long term residential projects and have been involved at early conceptual design phase onto construction.

This is a multi-phased and 6 year project and you will lead a team of 4 but this will expand as the project hits various milestones. You will also appoint and oversee external consultants and be the key point of contact for consortium partners.

You will have a civil engineering background and be degree qualified and have 10 years + experience of working on residential led mixed use schemes.

This is a key appointment for the business, and you will report directly into the main board. Therefore, you will have detailed experience of writing board reports and presenting to investors and senior directors.

If you are an engineer with house building major project experience this is a brilliant long term role to take on.

Key experiences;

• Degree qualified civil engineer (ideally MBA as well)
• 10 years + experience in delivering large complex residential led mixed used projects in home counties
• You will be working for a plc house builder in a technical director capacity or a engineering consultancy as a director
• Experience of overseeing 1,000 unit + projects from early conceptual design through to construction delivery
• Used to building and managing large internal and external teams
• Director experience and used to writing reports and presenting to mainboard
