Job description

Project Manager

TDM are working with one of the UK’s highest performing and most reputed consultancies who are looking to strengthen their team with a Project Manager.
Our client is a privately-owned dynamic consultancy. They have offered their clients a vast range of consultancy experience over the Commercial, Educational, Leisure, Residential & Sports sectors to name a few.
You will be part of an evolving and fast-paced office of administrative and professional colleagues and you will be expected to be confident and experienced enough to stand on your own two feet without too much training. The correct candidate will possess:

  • Relevant professional MRICS or Project Management qualification
  • 2+ years’ experience in Project Management client side
  • Experience working as a Project Manager on the Consultancy side
  • Previous experience in the Higher Education Sector
  • Friendly and hard-working character
  • Ability to stand on own two feet
  • Basic pre and post contract knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Computer literate, with a good understanding of Excel, Word etc
  • Familiar with current forms of building contracts
  • Knowledgeable use of computerised bill production
  • Team player capable of a flexible approach
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Enthusiasm, tenacity & self-motivated
  • Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure


Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include but not be limited to:


  • Commercial management of fast track projects
  • Take control of and manage from inception through to completion one or more projects depending on size and complexity. 
  • Preparation of initial budgets and cost plans. 
  • Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business, reporting any movements in the costs. 
  • Prepare detailed cost reporting on a weekly/ monthly basis. 
  • Prepare estimates of all prime costs Inc. subcontract and materials. 
  • Monitor and explain all cost movements.

In return you will be rewarded with a negotiable salary in the region of £50,000 to £60,000 depending on the experience and capability of the candidate.
