Job description The client is well known for being extremely successful and multi award winning, with hundreds of developments up and down the country, this region (regarded as one of the most successful) are looking to strengthen the Commercial team, in the form of a Project Quantity Surveyor.

They are about to commence a 50-unit development in Surrey with an impressive budget. The development comprises the refurbishment of a grade II listed building into 4 commercial units and the construction of 50 units in a single 6 storey Block of Flats using traditional construction methods such as RC Frame, Metsec SFS and Brickwork Cladding. The finish will be high spec/luxury and will be selling for circa £1.5m upwards. 
The development is not due to start on site until February 2019, however they are looking for an experience quantity surveyor to start immediately who will be able to advance the procurement and undertake all commercial until completion of the development which is anticipated in January 2021. You must be experienced and demonstrate that you can work independent with little supervision. This role is a permanent position and is very attractive for the right candidate as you will be working for a leading developer in the south east. You will be expected to fulfil the following duties: -
Fulfil all Quantity Surveyor duties with regards to the tender process including issuing enquiries producing scope of works, bid interrogations, contractor recommendation and placement of orders.
Assessment of Interim valuations and valuing sub-contractors’ accounts
Responsibility to carry out Commercial activities for all areas of responsibility to deliver project objectives.
Plan, manage and monitor Commercial activities to meet the Project objectives. Ensure that these activities are carried out in a way that reflects ‘best practice’.
To ensure project profit objectives and targets are met and cash and margin are managed to maximise performance, all in a manner consistent with the Group processes.
Support with the development of the wider commercial function.

In terms of a package we are willing to pay a basic up to £60,000 (for the ideal candidate), with a car allowance and pension.
