Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost control, budget management, and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager and the wider project team to maximize profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate forecasts to support effective decision-making.
  • Procure subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and manage the tendering process.
  • Review contract documents and identify risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Regularly monitor project costs, identifying variations and implementing appropriate measures to maintain financial control.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, fostering collaborative partnerships to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the housebuilding sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost control.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific software, such as MS Excel and project management tools.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
