Job description

The client, well recognised throughout the UK for building quality high spec homes, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for an up and coming phase of a 15-year project. The site will consist of luxury RC frame apartments. 


The site is set in a desirable location with close by public transport links. Due to the size of the project, the works split with procurement packages and package management. 
You will be joining as established team of 8 other surveyors of different levels as an additional hire and being site based you will naturally have your eyes and ears on the project. 


This is a great way to join a developer and gain longevity on your CV. The developer is renowned to training and support to gain promotion within. They invest in their employees and have a high retention rate. The client will consider surveyors from a variety of backgrounds as long as they have a background with RC frame experience. 

Key Responsibilities:
Able to demonstrate, previous experience of working for a house builder or relevant organisation
The negotiation & letting of subcontracts within required timescales.
Providing the cost-data feedback to Divisional Estimating Department.
Administration & management of the financial aspects of the development.
Reviewing and forecasting the latest cost estimates and reporting
The relationships with external employers such as Housing Associations undertaking valuations, cash flow forecasts, obtaining warranties, etc.
Assist in maintaining a safe working environment within Company workplaces and applying the Company’s Health & Safety Policy for their own, their colleagues, third          parties and the public’s benefit.


Experience and Qualifications:
You will have at least 2/3 years experience of working within the Construction industry for a house builder.
You will have sound experience of working within the same, or similar role previous. 
You will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership)
