Job description

I am working with one of the largest residential property development companies who operate a network of over 30 divisions. Every year since 2009, they have officially been the highest quality major national housebuilder, having been awarded an exclusive ‘5 Star Housebuilder Award*’ by the Homebuilders Federation.

They are looking for a Senior Surveyor to work on a 134-million-pound project in East London of luxury apartments. They are looking for someone who has developer or contractor experience ideally with residential project exposure although they are open to other backgrounds as they are just looking for a good solid surveyor.

In return, you will be offered a fantastic basic of £75,000 plus a package on top of that.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of tender allowances
  • The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
  • Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions  
  • Preparation of cost to complete
  • Financial Reporting
  • Cash management and maximisation
  • Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
  • Provision of standard reports
  • Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines


Experience and Qualifications:

  • You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor or developer
  • You will have sound experience of working within the same, or similar role previous. 
  • You will be degree qualified and ideally member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).


In return, you will be offered a fantastic basic of £75,000 plus a package on top of that.
