Job description.

I’m working with a reputable independent house builder and developer in Kent who are renowned for designing and building inspiring homes which frequently sell off plan due to popularity. Each development is different from the last and each one is sympathetically designed around the prestigious locations they can be found. Due to continued expansion and success, they are now looking for a Technical Coordinator to compliment their already strong in house team.

Based on the outskirts of the Kent coast, you will be based in their office but will be required to make site visits as and when required. You will be tasked with assisting in some inspiring, ground breaking larger schemes and be the lead on some smaller residential developments across Kent. Reporting in to the Director, you will be an individual who is comfortable to work as part of a wider team but also be able to work alone as and when needed. There will be good room for progression and ongoing training will be offered. You will be part of a progressive business who empower their staff to show what you can really do.

On offer is a salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + company benefits.

responsibilities include:

  • Managing the production of working drawings.
  • Able to review working drawing packages, making amendments and liaising with external consultants on these amendements.
  • Liaising with other in house departments (planning, development, technical, commercial, construction etc) ensuring all information is shared efficiently and accurately.
  • Able to keep up with changes in regulations, feedback from research and any new developments.
  • The communication with internal and external stakeholders updating on current projects.
  • Resolving day to day issues and problem solving.
  • Able to manage their own projects whilst assisting in larger ground breaking developments.

key requirements:

  • Experience working on residential developments.
  • Experience working in architectural practice (Architectural Technician, Architect, Architectural Assistant etc), Engineering Consultancy (Civil Design Engineer etc) or working client side with a house builder or developer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a wider team.
  • A sharp eye for detail and able to problem solve.
  • A hard worker who wants to impress and go beyond.
