Job description

I am working with one of the UK's leading developers who are looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator (Architecture) to complement the existing team.

You will initially oversee two projects which consist of a 175 unit, 5 storey residential development in St Albans, Hertfordshire and a 300 unit development consisting of houses and apartments in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

As Technical Coordinator you will be providing technical management of these developments with the support of a Technical Manager. Initially you will be involved in the above projects however there may be additional projects depending on the complexity and workload. 

You will control all of the aspect of design to ensure that the current information is available as and when required by other members of the team and manage external consultants such as Engineers, Architects, Local Authorities, NHBC, Solicitors and Housing Associations. You will also ensure regular design meetings occur with the relevant consultants at the right stages throughout the development process. 

You will work closely with the Technical Manager and senior management team and be involved in overall strategy on these projects. 

Ideally you will currently be working for one of the leading house builders, residential property developers or contractors but I am also keen to hear from senior candidates working for leading architectural practices with relevant multi unit residential experience.

Key Requirements

  • A proven track record of overseeing and managing your own residential developments.
  • Ideally working for a leading house builder, residential property developer or contractor on residential projects.
  • Good communication, negotiating and listening skills.
  • The ability to work alone as well as other internal and external teams.
  • Computer and CAD literate.
  • A good eye for attention to detail and someone who can contribute in team design meetings.
  • Ambitious, career driven and wants to progress within the business.
