Job description

My client is an award winning, national house builder who have recently gone through a sustained period of growth. They have a large land bank and a number of interesting, challenging projects coming through the pipeline. Due to this continued growth, they're looking for a good Technical Coordinator who is hungry, ambitious and dedicated to succeed to work on a large regeneration project in Hampshire. 

 

The project is part of the large garden village development which will consist of a wide variety of low rise traditional housing including apartments. It's going to be a long term project which will see over 70 acres transformed in to a busy residential hub close to the town centre. There will be a wide variety of private and affordable housing as well as open green spaces and good links to London making in the perfect place for people to live.

 

As a Technical Coordinator you will be reporting into the Senior Technical Manager and supporting the wider technical team. You will be tasked with the management and coordination of external consultant teams through the development cycle including Planning, Production, Adoptions and Sales. You will also support the Project Managers and Production teams in all matters which may arise.

 

You will be an ambitious and career driven Technical Coordinator who has a proven background of working on residential based projects. You will be confident in overseeing your own projects and ensure that all disciplines are working in synchronisation. This will include with checking layout drawings, suppliers and manufacturers details. You will also be responsible for obtaining necessary Building Regulation Technical Approvals and keep the internal teams updated and progress. You will be a good problem solver who can resolve and coordinate any issues which may arise from external consultants such as Civil and Structural Engineers and Architects.

You will ideally come from another house builder or developer however individuals from architectural or engineering consultancies with experience on residential projects will also be considered. This will suit individuals who may be looking to make a move from consultancy in to a client-side role or individuals looking for a supportive team who offer unparalleled training.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualified and ideally property related (Architecture, Engineering HNC etc)
  • A proven track record of working on residential based projects.
  • Able to work alone and manage your own projects as well as working in a wider team.
  • Ideally working for another house builder or developer however individuals in architectural or engineering consultancy will be considered.
  • A full technical understanding and knowledge of building regulations.
  • Understanding of technical detailing including building regulations are important.
  • An ambitious, career driven individual who is willing to learn and grow in the team.
