Job description

I'm working with a leading PLC house builder in Oxfordshire who have recently been awarded a number of successful tenders in the region. It's due to this success, they are now looking for a Technical Coordinator to join their region and assist in these new projects. 

As a Technical Coordinator you will be working closely with the Technical Manager on a variety of residential developments across the Oxfordshire region. The main aim of the role is to manage all technical aspects for projects within the region, fitting into an already established team around you. You will be involved in more than one project at one time at various stages of the development cycle from land acquisition through to completion and after sales. You will be working closely with other internal departments in the business as well as external consultants including Architects and Engineers, Health and Safety advisors, suppliers, housing associations and contractors to name a few. 

You will coordinate the design and regulatory approval processes form the housing developments from the point of handover from the land team through to completion of build and acting as the main point of contact for design and technical issues on numerous sites whilst providing all health and safety information to comply with the companies policies. You will prepare consultants briefs and manage the appointment of consultants as well as undertaking value engineering assessments and ensure buildability. 


You will need to have a proven track record of working for another house builder, contractor or developer and be confident in overseeing more than one residential development at any one time. You will ideally be degree qualified (Architecture, Engineering etc) however other relevant residential experience will also be considered. 

In return you will be working for one of the fast growing PLC businesses in the region who can offer ongoing support and training who have proven track record of promoting internally and rewarding those who work hard and have the drive behind them. The team itself are full of like minded individuals who all get on well and hold regular social events outside of work as well as the company who has numerous events going on inside work hours.


Key Requirements: 

  • Ideally degree qualified (Architecture, Engineering etc) however other relevant studies or experience will also be considered.
  • Previous experience overseeing more than one residential development at any one time for another house builder, developer or contractor. 
  • Confidence in taking charge and the ability to manage all technical aspects for given sites at various stages in the development cycle.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with strong communication skills as you will be liaising with both internal teams and external consultants. 
  • A full UK driving license as site visits will be required as and when necessary.
  • The hunger to succeed and take pride in what you do.
