Job description

My client is an entrepreneurial, forward thinking developer with a strong pipeline of work behind them and cash rich in funds. Due to continued expansion of the business, they are looking for an experienced Technical Co-Ordinator to be involved in a landmark high rise scheme for the business.


The project itself is due to go to site later this year and it’s going through the final phases of planning right now. As Technical Co-Ordinator you will be involved in overseeing this project from post planning, through design, on to site and delivering the project through to completion which is scheduled for 2021.


As this is a landmark and flagship scheme for the business, you will need to be an experienced Technical Co-Ordinator with a proven track record of overseeing large, complex, residential or mixed use schemes across London. You will ideally have over 5 years’ experience in the industry and MUST have experience of overseeing high rise RC frame projects over 15 storeys or more. This particular project will be 21 storeys high so this is why the strong requirement.


As Technical Co-Ordinator, you will be based on site when the project starts later this year in the West London area but will be required to visit the Head Office on occasions for meetings. You will be liaising with external consultants including Architects, Engineers and Sub Contractors as well as other people within the business on the Construction and Commercial side.


You will be reporting in to the Senior Technical Manager who will also be based on site so you will no doubt forge a close relationship with them however you will be given full responsibilities so will need to be calm under pressure, a strong problem solver and able to make decisions confidently without constant assistance with more senior members of staff. You must have also have managed your own residential projects in the past and overseeing more junior members of staff is a strong benefit.

Key Requirements:


  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other relevant related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on residential or mixed use (Inc. residential) schemes across the capital.
  • Strong RC Frame experience working on projects over 15 storeys in height in London as a minimum.
  • A proven Technical Co-Ordinator who has a strong track record of overseeing large residential projects on their own. Overseeing more junior members of staff on site would be of particular interest.
  • Calm under pressure and a good problem solver who is able to make decision quickly and confidently without more senior members of staff.
