I am working with an exciting privately owned developer in Kent who are looking to strengthen their team with a Technical Manager on a fixed term contract of 12 months. There is the possibility this could turn perm however this is NOT guaranteed. On offer is a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + package.


As Technical Manager, you will be taking the main lead on a 40 unit, residential development from the point of planning, through to completion. You will be the main point of contact for all technical, design and engineering queries throughout the development cycle and will need to visit site accordingly to make sure the project is being built to specification, on time and within budget. You may come from an architectural, engineering or other relevant background however must possess the skills in order to take the project successfully all the way through. Ideally you will be working for a house builder, contractor or developer already with experience on residential projects. Modular experience will also be considered.


Moving forward you will take control of another 2 or 3 residential sites, so must be able to be someone who can work individually as well as part of a wider team and be calm under pressure when it comes to running multi sites at once. You will be reporting in to the Director of the business and will be the go to person for technical, design and engineering related matters meaning the role could be moulded around you. You will work with other in house teams (land, development, planning etc) as well as liaising with external consultants such as Architects, Engineers and Contractors. It would be important to also possess strong value engineering skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced at running multi unit residential projects from cradle to grave.
  • Ideally working for a house builder, developer or contractor. Modular experience will also be considered.
  • Can work independently, running at least 2 or 3 schemes at any one time but also work well as part of a wider team.
  • Confident in what you do, able to get the job done, on time and within budget and wants the opportunity to be an integral part of the team moving forward.
  • Strong value engineering skills with a determination to succeed.
