I'm working with a reputable countrywide house builder and developer who are looking to strengthen their team with a Technical Manager. This will suit a Coordinator looking to take the step up or a Manager who's looking for a new challenge.

As Technical Manager you will be involved in various stages of residential housing projects from cradle to grave and will be responsible for the the organisation of design team programmes and overseeing these to ensure delivery of design team deliverables. You will need to oversee other individuals such as Coordinators, Administrators as well as Document Controllers and be the point of contact for any issues which may arise on sites. This role is office based with site visits and as Technical Manager you will also oversee the architectural design on developments (which usually will be a minimum of 3) and make sure all information is correct and abided to by on site teams. 

You will ideally be degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering or have another relevant qualification and have experience of working at a house builder, developer or contractor on multi unit residential projects. The predominance of projects with the business are low rise traditional housing however some projects include RC frame so if you have experience in this field then it would be a bonus. You will need to be a good problem solver, calm under pressure and able to oversee numerous projects throughout different stages of the development cycle at any one time. Experience overseeing individuals like Coordinators, Documents Controllers and Administrators is also of interest.

Key Requirements:

  • Ideally degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering however other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
  • Experience of working on multi unit residential developments, ideally for a house builder, developer or contractor.
  • Experience of overseeing numerous residential projects throughout different stages of the development cycle at any one time. 
  • Able to oversee other individuals including Coordinators, Administrators and Document Controllers.
  • Able to oversee the flow of architectural design information and making sure external drawings are correct. 
  • A calm, collected and good problem solver who can work alone as well as part of a wider team.
